For a place that’s as popular a tourist destination as Hawaii, I would probably start by buying a travel guide. Check Barnes and Noble and find a book that’s recent and has good ratings. A travel guide will give you information as to what’s available on each island so that you can decide where, exactly, you want to go.

For researching the trip online, the first place I want to mention is tripadvisor.com. Tripadvisor offers online travel guide, as well as reviews of just about anything from hotels to restaurants to activities.

You could book a flight through any of the online travel sites, but once you find which airline is going to give you the best price, I would check that airline’s web site. The reason is that the other travel sites might not show you every available flight for the days you want to travel, but the airline’s site will. You might also want to check farecast.com. Farecast will show if the prices for a particular route are going up, going down, or staying the same. It doesn’t work for every route, but it should work if you’re flying out of a larger airport.

For hotels, I would start with Priceline, Expedia, etc. Once you find something you want, check with that hotel’s web site. If the price is the same, I would book through the hotel’s web site. There are two reasons for this. First, most reservations made through hotel web sites can be canceled, whereas most reservations made through travel web sites cannot. Second, you can always recheck rates and rebook your room if the rate goes down. You just make a reservation at the better rate, and then cancel the original reservation. Always remember to check reviews on any hotel you want to book. I look for consistent compliments or complaints in reviews, and I pay closer attention to more recent reviews, because they will give a more accurate representation of how the hotel is right now.

Use the same principles you used to book a hotel when you book a rental car. Book through the rental car company’s web site unless you get a great deal through one of the travel sites, and keep rechecking the rate to see if it goes down.

One more thing you want to look at when making reservations is possible discounts. If you’re a member of an organization, like AAA or a university alumni association, you might be able to get a discount through them. If you buy Entertainment Books, you could get discounts there. You might also check coupon web sites, like retailmenot.com or couponcabin.com.

Nevertheless, should your website or opening webpage
fail to contain "generic" keywords, then anyone using
such "generic" queries will not be able to discover
your website. Your domain name [URL] of your website,

You may want to consider some simple algorithms which,
when observed and committed in designing of a website
with placement of various critical metatags that can
surely achieve a high search engine presence and

metatag strategies work well with published webpages

Design: Should you create an extensive Flash-based
website, make sure to fill-in the property entries

Placement of Metatags:

A ranking or search order does take place with Google
and Yahoo and it begins with the “Title” metag which
should consist of no more than 65 characters separated
by commas. The “Title” should describe in generic
terms, the goods and services, followed by a location
from which the resource is located, i.e., city, state.
The placement of a domain name which is not generic
within the “Title” is not appropriate, unless your
domain name is a major recognizable brand name.

The second metatag is the “Description” which is
usually 25-30 words to form a complete sentence which
best describes one’s goods and services.

And the very last category – “Keywords” are also
somewhat limited to 15-16 words which can be plural
and compound in nature. Again, avoid multiple entries
which could be mistaken as “spamdexed entries” which
is defined as the loading, and submission of
repetitive words into a particular metatag category.
“Spamdexing” when discovered on a webpage and reported
to Google’s spamreport.com can result in the
elimination of your website from their search
directory.

Here’s an example of a very highly-placed website on
Google.com: Begin with the very “generic” search query
“sandwiches downtown los angeles,” taking note to not
abbreviate Los Angeles to “LA” and of course, leave
out the parentheses (“). It will bring up some 2.4
million+ search results. Check out where “Nazos.net”
is ranked. It’s ranked No. 1!
Again, Nazos.net’s high web presence was achieved by
proper web design and placement of relevant metatags
according to Google’s publication guidelines.
