Iphone 4s ‘Gevey sim’?
just purchased an Iphone 4s of ebay and in the description it mentioned it is 5.1 unlockable with Gevey sim but it is not included.. What exactly is this “Gevey sim” and does it affect the phone in anyway?
Can I connect the phone to simple mobile without any problems? Im not buying the ‘gevey sim’ so Id like to know if the phone will work perfectly fine with no problems or would I have to buy it.

Administrator answers:
Gevey sim is a special chip that you insert in your iPhone along with a normal sim card that tricks the phone’s carrier lock into thinking that the sim card is of the same carrier as the carrier lock is. Whenever you want to use a sim card that is not genuine to the carrier lock, the phone must be unlocked and Gevey sim is one way to do this. Your Simple Mobile sim will only work if you unlock the phone. Gevey sim only works for the iPhone 4 and 4S but any firmware and baseband is unlockable. The current type of Gevey sim costs around $30 but the unlock instructions are given to you in an easy to follow method.

iPhone 4S reviews from previous iPhone 4 users?
I currently own an iPhone 4 with a cracked screen. Besides the cracked screen, I have other problems with the 4. My home button often doesn’t work, the camera is very poor quality, my iPod often has trouble playing music, and worst of all, it has almost no room! I often find myself not being able to take pictures or buy new songs because I’ve used up all my space! I’m debating getting a new iPhone4, or getting a 4S. I would love to have more space, a better camera, being allowed to edit photos, and some of the new built-in apps. Very conflicted. Any opinions?

Administrator answers:
I’ve played around on the 4s and what I can tell you is that it is loads better then the 4. Not only does it come with a personal assistant (Siri), but it comes with a 8.0 mega pixel camera! Which is a big improvement over the iPhone 4 which has a 5.0 mega pixel camera. This means better pictures and HD video recording. It also has the option to crop and De-red eye your photos.
Now I’m guessing that you use a lot of storage seeings as you’ve filled up your phone. So I would suggest getting the 32 or 64 GB model rather then the standard 16 GB. This will let you save all of your favorite apps, songs, and ring tones and then you should still have plenty of room left over.
Now as a Phone owner myself I have to suggest that you get an Otterbox for your phone. For the best protection get the Defender case (link below). Seeings as both sides of the iPhone are covered in glass it is easier to crack then most phones. Or at least get insurance on your phone so you can always replace it if it is broken. Believe me you don’t want to have to pay to have these phones replaced.

My iPhone 4S was stolen?
I had an iPhone 4S up until today and now it has been stolen.
I have a few problems with this though. I bought this off a guy and I don’t have any insurance (because they require you to show the receipt and such).
It was so bad timing because I had turned Cellular Data off the night before because I was getting close to my data limit. Now, i’m restricted to the guy going into a WiFi zone where I have registered before. I have told Find My iPhone to send me an email if my iPhone goes online and such.
What should I do? If the Police find out, they will assume I stole it because it was bought from another person.
Should I just sign up for Protect My Bubble (or something), and then in two weeks time I say I lost it.

Administrator answers:
Best you can do is
- talk to the network.
Get them to trace it or block it
They will see tha your SIM and usage has been the only thing on it since you had it, and the other owner did not report it stolen – you are ! So you would not report your own phone now would you ?
So as long as you can show the SIM is yours… You are in with a chance
Of course it does not get the phone back but… They may see it being used by a new SIM card.

Should I buy Iphone 4 or 4s?
I have a Blackberry Bold 9700 through AT&T. I am upgrade eligible and want to get rid of this Blackberry for the Iphone(RIM has not kept up with the smartphone market). Only problem is that the 4s comes out on the 14th and I am torn on which to get. I know about all the upgrades of the 4s(internally) but are they worth the $100 that the 4s is going to be over the(also new) 8g Iphone 4? AT&T never had a 8g Iphone before and it’s going to be available for $99 on the 14th also. With the Iphone 5 coming out in a year from now probably, I am leaning towards just getting the Iphone 4(8g) on the cheap now and just wait for the Iphone 5 next year. The smallest 4s is going to be 16g and the Iphone 4 16g was only reduced to $150(was $200). If you want to compare 16g to 16g, its worth it then to spend the extra $50 and get the 4s right? But dont know if I’ll need the 16g. Ahhhhhhh. What should I do?

Administrator answers:
I think you should have a look at my blog and see the post comparing the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 4S.
Have a look at the similarities and differences between and see if it’s really worth getting the 4S or not.
